Seasonal living | garden planting | tasting | live music
Spring at Orias marks the beginning of the growing season. The garden is prepared once again—the soil has rested over the winter and is now being cultivated, ready for the planting of seasonal varieties. Spring symbolizes renewal and fertility.
On May 16th, you will take part in preparing the spring garden, sowing and planting seasonal vegetables. You will also observe the making of fresh cheese, a process deeply rooted in the local culinary tradition of Kalavryta.
For the culinary experience, Nomade et Sauvage will take over the cooking. An open-air lunch, prepared over fire, featuring ingredients from the farm and the wider region.
Local producers will be present, including the wineries Tetramythos and M20, the organic distillery Aithra Spirits, and Lianos olive mill.
Trekking Hellas Achaea will be at the farm offering nature-based activities, while the UNESCO Chelmos–Vouraikos Global Geopark will present the natural and geological environment of the area.
The day concludes with live music in a relaxed, acoustic setting.
Don’t miss the opportunity to combine the event with a stay at Orias Guesthouse, enjoying the simplicity and warm hospitality of the place (+ exclusive gift bag for staying guests).
