Extending from the slopes of Mount Helmos down to the shores of the Corinthian Gulf, the vineyards of Kalavryta and Aigialeia benefit from a unique combination of altitude, microclimate, and soil composition. This distinctive terroir highlights the character of the region’s indigenous grape varieties.

At Orias, wine tastings are offered in two different formats:

• Visits to selected wineries, including guided tours, wine tastings, and personal interaction with the producers, or

• Wine tastings at the guesthouse, hosted by a winery representative and accompanied by local products or farm-prepared meals.

The tastings focus on the high-altitude grape varieties of Aigialeia and the production techniques influenced by the region’s climate and elevation. The experience highlights the connection between wine, landscape, and gastronomy, offering a deeper understanding of the place and its people.
